8 weeks 1 Day!

Waist Measurements: 35" at belly button (don't know if I ate too much today or if its actually the baby)

Weigh In: 127lbs according to the Dr.

Pregnancy Symptoms this week:
  • Irritable
  • Still freaken tired
  • Slight Nausea (still not to bad...knock on wood)
What I Learned: Dr. appointments take a really long time, and I have to go every month.

Pregnancy first this week: I had my first ultrasound this week, it was amazing. I wish paul could have been there but I didn't even know I was going to have an ultrasound. It was a pleasant surprise. Oh yeah I told my boss this week.

My Pregnancy Brain: I saw our baby's heart beat this week! WOW! It was the most amazing thing ever! It finally felt real, but only for a few hours, I can't wait till I feel the first kick.

Pregnancy Prep: Absolutely nothing, maybe once the wedding is over.

Dr Visits: I saw the second contender to be my Dr. this week, I made my decision; I'm going with the midwife. It's definitely more what I want, I felt like it was more about me and the baby than how quick can they be home on D-Day. I'm glad that is over with.

What the baby looks like this week: Aww... first baby picture! and a picture I found of the size of the baby.

Rewind one week

Waist Measurements: 34" at belly button

Weigh In: 126lbs according to the Dr.

Pregnancy Symptoms this week:
  • Irritable
  • Really really really tired (Zzzzzzzz)
  • By the way did I say tired
  • Still Gassy
  • Slight Nausea (not to bad so far...knock on wood)
  • Incredible sensitive to smells
What I Learned: Im actually 7 weeks 2 days today!

Pregnancy first this week: I had a freak out this week. On monday night I had a fever, at first I didn't thing too much about it until I didn't have any other cold symptoms to follow. My mom convinced me to call the Dr., sure enough they had me go in to make sure I didn't have an infection. Luckily everything came back good and I even got an official blood test to prove that I'm really pregnant. And seeing that my levels were a 19000, 5 or below is not pregnant, I guess it confirmed the pregnancy. Oh yeah we finally told Paul's family this week :) everyone seemed happy!

My Pregnancy Brain: After the freak out I really started to think about how much my life has already changed and the baby isn't even here. I'm now living for 2...

Pregnancy Prep: Just looking for houses, buts thats not really pregnancy prep, that life prep.

Dr Visits: Yep had one this week. Nothing too exciting we went over family history and talked about how the next nine months will go. I also had a bunch of blood work done too. I have one more appointment next week then I'll pick my final Dr., I think this was the one though.

Belly Shot: still just my gut

What the baby looks like this week: refer to last week :)

S/He has a two-chambered heart, lungs, and cerebral hemispheres.

Not too much happened this week, other than I told a couple more family members and we are still trying to figure out a date to get together with Paul's parents. I'm sure it will be soon.

I find this pregnancy thing to be very exhausting. I'm already an early sleeper but 8:30 is even early for me, but hey that's when I crash so thats when i'll sleep.

Waist Measurements: 33 inches at the belly button
Weight in: 125lbs according to my Wii (I usually weigh myself at the gym)
Pregnancy Symptoms this week:
  • crampy (but not as much as last week)
  • irritable
  • really really tired
  • gassy (tmi...I know)
  • bathroom often
What I learned: Disneyland isn't as fun when you cant get on the rides...but its still lots of fun.

Pregnancy first this week: I had a couple of food aversions earlier this week...they smelled funny to me, which is weird for me because I'm a food junkie.

My Pregnancy Brain: Fear has been a big part of my thoughts, lots of what if's. I really just want a healthy baby and want to make sure I do everything in my power to make sure that happens

Pregnancy preparation: nothing yet, don't want to jinx anything plus it's way to early and we have no place to store things

Dr. Visits: I made another Dr. appointment this week with a Nurse Midwife, hopefully one of the two, Dr. vs. midwife, will work out with my birthing plan. I have an appointment this Friday and one next friday. :)

Belly Shot: Most of this is just my Gut :/

What the baby looks like this week: Baby has doubled in size since last week. S/He is staring to develop arms and legs and is about the size of a blueberry. Also, see title for additional milestones.

"Week 6" I Think might be 5 we'll find out on the 23rd

This has been a really good week. I've started telling all my close friends and my mom and dad. I'm not sure yet when we're telling Paul's Parents but I'm sure it will be soon. We're really excited about the months to come.

Let us make pregnancy an occasion when we appreciate our female bodies.

Waist Measurements: 33 inches at belly button

Weigh-in: 126lbs

Pregnancy Symptoms this week:
  • Bathroom often (especially at night)
  • Crampy
  • Really tired
  • Moody as hell

What I learned: I can still work out just not as aggressively and have to keep my HR below 140bpm, which I found interesting

Pregnancy "first" this week: Called my Dr. to schedule our first appointment, and told my parents about the pregnancy :) they were very excited

My Pregnancy Brain: I'm a little freaked out that 9 months from now I'm going to be responsible to a life.

Pregnancy Preparation: None yet! Just excited to be pregnant! Although if it was up to me I would have the whole nursery set up!

Dr. Visits: Not yet! I don't understand why they make you wait so long! Don't they understand I'm pregnant???

Belly Shot:

What the baby looks like: Our baby is about the size of a lentil bean. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as ours — and blood is beginning to course through its body
